Alto campers is a family run, boutique camper service based out of Queenstown. Run by local South Islanders, who aim to show the world the best Aotearoa has to offer.
Our first experience in the camper-world involved purchasing a 50 year old caravan while living overseas. We lived in it through the depths of a Canadian winter and loved the challenges and the freedom it gave us.
From caravan to house-bus
Returning to NZ, we became proud owners of a school bus, which we converted into a cozy house-bus. The 3 years we spent living in and traveling around New Zealand was an eye opening experience like no other.
Little did we know that the way we were living our life during those times would become research and a building ground for Alto Campers.
